Pelican Point Sanctuary

Pelican Point Sanctuary is located just outside St Helens, a few minutes’ drive from the Bay of Fires. This luxury retreat is bordered by the Georges River, Granny’s Gut Creek, and Georges Bay and is a haven for wildlife, with more than 40 species of birds making the property their home.

The sanctuary offers a selection of elegant villas and charming cottages, each beautifully appointed and featuring private outdoor areas with views across the property. Pelican Point also offers free guest activities, including private walking tracks, fly fishing and kayaking or even a round of farmer’s golf! You can visit their website here.

Here are a few snaps from our recent visit, walking around the stunning property with Beng, the owner.

© East Coast Tasmania Tourism

The Tasmanian tourism industry acknowledges the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a tourism industry that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors Tasmania's deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully. We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
